Harvest Initiative Welcomes New Executive Director

Emily Trump became the first Executive Director for The Harvest Initiative earlier this month. She will lead the organization forward into its next phase of development.

Trump is a recent graduate of New York University School of Law, where she served for two years as part of the editorial staff of the Journal of Legislation and Public Policy. A native of Des Moines, she completed her undergraduate studies in economics and political science at Iowa State University.

"I am thrilled to begin this new challenge assisting the people of Crow Creek," said Trump. "I feel the Harvest Initiative offers a unique opportunity to combine my interest in economic development with my legal expertise."

Trump will work with Harvest Initiative founders Dustin Miller and Jason Yates as she transitions into her leadership position.

The Harvest Initiative was founded in 2008 to promote economic and community development on the Crow Creek Sioux Reservation.
