Harvest Initiative Awarded USDA Funding

The United States Department of Agriculture announced Friday that The Harvest Initiative was selected to receive funding to assist rural businesses and spur economic development on the Crow Creek Sioux Reservation.
The funding was awarded through the Rural Business Enterprise Grant program which is administered by USDA Rural Development.
The funding will be used to support marketing efforts and provide technical assistance to businesses on the Crow Creek Sioux Reservation.
The Harvest Initiative was founded in 2008 to invest locally in native grown ideas and support socially responsible business development to move Crow Creek Sioux Reservation toward a commercially viable, self-sustaining economic environment.
